Offenbar erfanden die Verlage deshalb die Hybridform der Klappenbroschur, um so nun auch mit Taschenbuchneuerscheinungen „listenwürdig“ zu werden.
Susanne Gerdom sagte, sie persönlich habe keine Ahnung, warum die klassischen Medien alles ignorieren, was nicht per Publikumsverlag in die Welt gelangt. Sie fragt sich, ob es vielleicht an der Denkfaulheit und Bequemlichkeit der Medien liegen kann? Sie sagte: Zitat: „Was nicht bei Holtzbrinck, Random House, Bertelsmann, Bonnier erschienen ist, kann nicht gut sein“? Wahrscheinlich ist es eine Mischung aus all dem plus der Tatsache, dass Entwicklungen der letzten Jahre, gerade was die elektronischen Medien angeht, schlicht verschlafen werden. Zitat Ende.
Aber ich denke, das wird sich bald ändern müssen. Denn nun plant Amazon auch als Verleger in Deutschland Fuß zu fassen und da die meisten neuen Autoren bereits mit Amazon verbandelt sind, wird sich zeigen, inwieweit es für uns Selfpublisher von Vorteil oder Nachteil werden wird. Im Moment ist Amazon & Co ein Segen für alle Indiautoren, denn ohne diese Plattformen würden viele gute Bücher niemals den Leser erreichen können.
